Frequently asked questions

Is the model still valid now that there is a new Construction Products Regulation?

For most products, yes. The duties under Regulation (EU) 2024/3110 only take effect, family by family, one year after the act that makes a new standard binding. After that, the declaration of performance and conformity under its Annex V applies. Check this for your product family.

May I change the layout?

Yes. Annex III allows a different layout, tables and leaving out points that are not relevant to your product, as long as all the information under Art. 6 stays clear and complete.

What does NPD mean?

No Performance Determined. At least one performance must be declared, and you may not leave open characteristics that your target market requires.

Does the tool check my values?

No. It checks neither the standard nor the performance. The manufacturer alone stays responsible for drawing up the declaration and for its content.
